Amy Jones

Set Time: 2:00–2:45 p.m., Fishbowl Stage

Hello world. My name is Amy Jones. I don’t have anyone to talk about me in third person yet, so this is it. I am a singer/songwriter, and I occasionally fumble around on instruments. Thank you for wanting to find out more about who I am.

I am extremely proud of my debut EP “If You” that I produced and released in the summer of 2011. It contains four original songs that I poured my heart and soul into. I can’t express how excited I am to finally be back in the studio where I am currently recording my first full length album, “Empty Glasses”. I’ve recruited some amazing players for this project, and hope to release it before the end of 2017—stay tuned!

Before moving to Eugene, I lived in Los Angeles for ten years. There, I had many opportunities to express myself musically. I performed with my incredible band all around the city and the surrounding area. I also worked with Grammy nominated Rhythm and Blues songstress Nikkole. I toured the country with her in 2008 as a back-up singer and dancer. We opened for Boyz II Men, Macy Gray, Bobby Brown, Jon B, Ambrosia, Blood Sweat and Tears, and The Temptations to name a few. The music publishing company, Luke Hits LLC, hired me in 2009 to write and record for their catalog, which was subsequently used for film and television. And in 2010, I spent the spring and summer singing on a cruise ship in Alaska!

Working as a lead and back-up vocalist has led to many experiences and friendships, all of which I am very grateful for. In 2000, I was hired by Wendy MaHarry to write and perform harmonies on her live album “Released”. I have also recorded and performed with Jonathan McEuen of Hanna-McEuen, Jesse Siedenberg of A Fine Frenzy, Daniel Ash of Love and Rockets and Bauhaus, Preston Smith, and many others.
