FAQ

Here are some great questions about WVMF asked from previous years-

What is the Willamette Valley Music Festival?

WVMF is a student based, free event that focuses on music and arts. This student funded and coordinated festival transforms the heart of campus into a creative space, and becomes a focal gathering point for both students and the surrounding community, providing a space for individuals to come together as a group and celebrate the creative talent that Eugene and the Northwest has to offer.

When is it?

May 7th, 2016 on the UO campus. Music starts at noon.

How do I get tickets?

WVMF is free and open to students and community members!

Who’s playing?

We will be showcasing a wide range of genres including everything from instrumental rock to hip hop to house music. An official list of artists can be viewed under the “lineup” tab.

Will there be food or water available?

Select vendors from the ASUO Street Faire will be open near the festival grounds on Saturday. Free water is available in the surrounding campus buildings, so be sure to bring your water bottle!

Is this event family friendly?

Yes! We encourage you to bring your entire family for this day of sunshine, music and art. Leashed pets are also welcome.

Can I smoke / drink at WVMF?

No. Marijuana, tobacco and alcohol are currently prohibited on the U of O campus.

Where can I park?

There will be no parking for vehicles at this event. We recommend using any of the several metered or 2 hour parking spots around campus. There are limited amounts of these spots so we encourage you to arrive by public transportation, on foot or by bike. Bike racks will be available for bicycles!

My band wants to play at WVMF next year, how do I get involved?

Email us at wvmf@uoregon.edu. Artist selection usually begins in November and the lineup is usually solidified by late December. Reaching out to us early is strongly recommended as our line up fills up fast.
